She was born on September 9, 1939, in Culpepper, VA to Leonard and Mardella Schmigel (Cromer). She spent most of her life in Maryland before moving to the North Myrtle Beach area in the early 2000’s. She had a love of dancing from the time she was a teenager and she and her husband enjoyed many hours of shagging at the clubs in town. She also especially enjoyed summer vacations on the beach when her great grandchildren would visit.
She is survived by her husband, John Fleck. Children, Karen Joh, Lisa Kennedy (Gerald), Tim Love (Lisa). Six grandchildren, Ashley Burns (Kevin), Brittany Egosque (Tyler), Ryan Kennedy (Stephanie), Patrick Kennedy, Eva Kennedy, Sawyer Love, and two great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Bronx.
She is also survived by brothers, Donald Schmigel (Jackie) and Robert Joseph Schmigel
