A US Veteran, Paul proudly served in the US Navy for six years where he was able to travel the world. A man full of jokes, big smiles and a hearty laugh, he believed that life was meant for fun, not to be taken too seriously. Throughout his life, Paul would visit Cherry Grove often and promised himself that he would move to the beach when he retired. His dream of the easy-going ocean life came true in 2020 when he relocated to Cherry Grove.
Having grown up in the late 60’s and early 70’s, Paul had a passion for great music and good ole Rock and Roll. He enjoyed the Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, and John Lennon was an all-time favorite. Countless concerts were attended throughout the years where he made unforgettable memories with family and close friends. He also loved playing golf and the Carolina Tarheels. His greatest love of all was that of his children and family. He was a wonderful father, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his beloved daughters, Jessica Rienerth (Moody), Jenna Moody, and sister, Michelle Brunson. Paul had a unique bond with each of these ladies that will forever live on.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 on Cherry Grove beach in front of the Tidewater building at 58th Avenue N., North Myrtle Beach. Following the service, the family invites you to Paul’s favorite spot, Murphy’s on the Beach (MOTOS), for more celebrations and an opportunity to share memories and laughter in his honor.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be requesting donations to a scholarship in Paul’s name. Details are currently pending and will be sent out as soon as possible.
