Paul Jerome Smith, 72, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 with his family by his side. Born in Albemarle, NC, he was the son of the late Theodore “Pete” Roosevelt Smith and Rose Marie Lambert Smith. He was the loving and devoted husband of Judy Kitchen Smith.
A Christian man strong in his faith, Paul was a member of Ocean Drive Church of the Lost and Found. He was the founder and CEO of Progressive Software Inc. in Charlotte, NC. After relocating to North Myrtle Beach in 1998, he formed Smith Investment of Carolina, Inc.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 30 years are his son, Jeffry Smith of Wilmington NC; daughters, Devin Sherman(Paul) of Norwood NC and Jennifer Gannon of Belpre OH; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Ocean Drive Church of the Lost and Found with visitation to follow at the church.
