Robert Earl Caulder, 70, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 23, 2025. He was born in Laurinburg, NC on June 5, 1954 to Lester Jaye Caulder and Barbara Wright Caulder Craven. He is predeceased by his first wife, Darlene, his sister, Linda Caulder Anderson and his parents.
Bob is survived by his wife, of fifteen years, Judy Caulder, daughter Heather Cosgrove (Michael), bonus daughters, Kristen Gregory and Kira Gregory; granddaughters Maddie and Emily Cosgrove; sisters, Rena’ Peurifoy Nesbitt (John), Brenda Leach (John) and brother Kirby Caulder (Katherine) and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Bob was a lay-minister and served the church in many capacities. He also gave his time to a prison ministry for many years.
Bob had a love of cars, especially Corvettes. He also loved to make people laugh. He was a wise man of few words; he was a good listener and a good friend. If you met Bob, you loved him and he gave the absolutely best bear hugs. His greatest joy was providing for his family, that he loved dearly. He also loved attending his girls’ extracurricular activities and was always seen with a “Big smile” of pride.
After graduation from high school in Carlisle, PA he served his country in the US Army; following his honorable discharge Bob graduated from UNC Pembroke. Bob worked for Hendrick Motors for 35 years before retiring. Since 2022 Bob was everyone’s favorite Check-out Associate at Wal-Mart. Many people would stand in a long line just to check out and speak with Bob.

A visitation will be held on March 7, 2025, 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. Service to follow at 12.
