

Ronald Lee Reitzel, 70, passed away on August 12, 2025, in Longs, South Carolina. Born on January 2, 1955, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Ronald lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Ronald was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii during his military service. His time in the Army reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment-qualities that remained with him throughout his life.
Ronald was a devoted husband to Karen Reitzel and a loving father to his daughter Angela Williams. He shared a close bond with his son-in-law Justin Williams and took immense pride in being "Papa" to his grandchildren Samuel and Isabelle Williams. He is also survived by his sister Linda Paschel and sister-in-law Sharon Reitzel. He was preceded in death by his brother Pete Reitzel.
In his later years, Ronald fulfilled a long-held dream by moving to Myrtle Beach to embrace one of his greatest passions-golf. He played every chance he could, finding joy and peace on the greens. The beach also held a special place in his heart; he loved spending time near the ocean and listening to beach music that brought back fond memories and lifted his spirits.
Those who knew Ronald remember him as a hardworking man whose presence brought light into their lives. His warmth, humor, and unwavering support left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May Ronald's memory bring comfort to those who loved him and continue to inspire all who carry it forward.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Anchor Baptist Church, 3300 State Hwy 50, Little River, SC 29566. Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River is serving the family.
