

Spencer Dean lived a rich and fulfilling life, characterized by love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his country. His spirit was radiant, bringing deep joy not only to his family but to all those fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a profound legacy woven with threads of love, compassion, faith, and hope that will continue to inspire those who remain.
Spencer is survived by his beloved son, Samuel Dean (Krissann), and his cherished grandson, Arden Dean. His daughter, Heather Helane McInnis (Scott), along with his granddaughters, Amelia Grace McInnis and Virginia Taylor Adams (Connor), and great-granddaughter, Georgia Grace Adams, carry forward his warmth and kindness. His daughter, Hollie Sisk (Jon), also holds dear the memories of her father, along with granddaughter EmmaLaine Sisk and grandson Samuel Sisk. Spencer's family circle is completed by his niece, Aimee Dean (fiancé Jamie), and great-nieces, Haley Brothers and Lauren Brothers, all of whom feel his love deeply. Along with his companion Janet Coleman, her daughter Jennifer, son Bryan, granddaughter Lilli, and special friends Ja and Rita Kidd.
Joyfully reunited in Heaven with his parents, Graham Walter “Jack” Dean and Hazel Ferrell Dean, and his brothers, Charles Evans Dean and Jack Donald “Don” Dean (Nancy), Spencer’s spirit shines brightly in the hearts of his loved ones.
Baptized at Knightdale Baptist Church, Spencer was a proud graduate of Knightdale High School. He cherished his Masonic Lodge brothers, finding community and camaraderie among them. A dedicated servant, he honorably served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army, from which he proudly retired.
In addition to his many accomplishments, Spencer had a passion for adventure that fueled his love for riding Harleys for many years. The open road brought him immense joy, as did his time spent on the golf course, where he was known as an avid golfer. His legacy of service, kindness, and zest for life will continue to resonate through the lives he touched, reminding us all of the beauty of a life well-lived.
A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Spencer at the Eagles Nest Golf Course Clubhouse, located at 401 Eagles Nest Rd, Little River, SC, 29566. The service is scheduled for January 23, 2026, at 2:00 pm. There will be Army military honors should weather permit.
