Sylvia F. Breeden

Sylvia F. Breeden, 78, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2022 at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center.

Born on January 11, 1944 in Loris, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Obie and Florrie Gause Floyd.

Sylvia was a graduate of Loris High School and Palmer Business School in Columbia, SC. She worked at Hoskins Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach, SC for over 60 years.

She was a beloved wife, fantastic mother, loyal friend and the very best grandmother. Next to her family and the Lord, she loved her home and her flower gardens.

In her younger days, Sylvia could be found shagging on the beach and enjoying outings with the “Wednesday Girls”

Sylvia is survived by her husband of 54 years, John L. Breeden, Jr.; daughter, Jessica B. Palmer (William); two brothers, Jimmy and Charles Floyd; five grandchildren, Sarah Palmer, Will Palmer, Luke Breeden, Scarlet Breeden, and Knox Breeden; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, John L. Breeden, III; five brothers, James, Clyde, Troy, Bryan and Wayne; and four sisters, Mady Belle Campbell, Pauline Campbell, Ruby Stanley, and Mildred Jorden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on September 6, 2022 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 706, 14th Avenue South, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service.
