Yvonne Charlotte Froio

Yvonne C. Froio, age 73, of Calabash, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 1, 2025. Born on March 3, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Yalonda Gilley.

She is survived by her partner, Billy Porch; siblings, Patricia Mooney, Charles Gilley, David Gilley, Donna Jones, Robert Quesnell; stepdaughters, Karen Froio and her children Kasey and Kevin, Kathy Braxton and her sons Mikey and Kahnrad, Mickey Edwards and her children Daniel, McKenzie and Molly, Barbara Winkler and her children Katelyn and Joe; six great grandchildren; her dear friend, Steve Walters. She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her husband, Vincent Froio and their children, Dominic and April.

Growing up in Maryland, Yvonne was a graduate of Dundalk High School in Baltimore. She lived in Baltimore County for most of her life until she relocated to South Carolina where she lived for almost 20 years. Yvonne loved watching tv, she called her favorite shows her “stories” and her favorite movies her “shows”. She loved to play cards and penny poker with her friends. Yvonne enjoyed spending time at the beach and at her favorite restaurant, Oscar’s Food & Sprits, where she knew everyone.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River is serving the family.
