

Adele M. Kane, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. They will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Sunday, May 10, 2-6 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be offered at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Ave., Verona on Monday, May 11, at 10 AM. The entombment service will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J.
Adele was born in New York City and had lived in West Orange since 1958. She retired as a secretary for Soriano-Henkel, Esq. after 13 years; prior, she was a secretary at American Red Cross.
Adele was an active volunteer especially for Queen of Angels Church in Newark and the United Farm Workers.
Predeceased by her late husband Matthew J. she is survived by her beloved children: Philip Kane and wife Joan Barbara Kane-Soriano and husband William J., Matthew Kane and wife Shanya, Leslie Sodano and husband Thomas, Bonnie Kane and Maria Kerr and husband Roger; she will always be lovingly remembered by her devoted 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Rd., West Orange, NJ 07052 or the Daughters of Israel, 1155 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ 07052.
