Daughter of the late Kitty (nee O’Neill) and the late Noah Bruford, she was born on December 21,1927 in New York City. Anne was the dear sister of Jack, Edna, Edward and Helen.
Anne married Augustus J. Warner and they celebrated their four daughters, Diane, Deborah, Lorraine and Linda Lee.
They shared a resonant and content life and lived in various states including New York, Texas, New Jersey and Oklahoma where their youngest daughter was born.
Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband Gus in 1965 and was a young widow raising four daughters.
Anne attended Caldwell College in the evening and was able to secure a prestigious job as Regional Secretary at Scott Paper Company. She was very successful and won numerous accolades for her performance.
In 1970 Anne married Daniel J Zehnder, a successful wedding Photographer and staff photographer at the Catholic Advocate Newspaper. Dan and his two sons moved in to complete the family on Manger Road.
They lived in West Orange and enjoyed a contented and fruitful life. They enjoyed spending time with their 5 grandchildren, taking care of their home, and entertaining family and friends. Annette was predeceased by her beloved oldest daughter Diane in 1996 and beloved husband Dan in 2011.
Anne was an active parishioner for over 50 years at St. Raphael’s Parish in Livingston NJ. In 1997 she donated a baptismal font to the parish in memory of her daughter Diane.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing the crossword puzzle daily in the Star Ledger. She was a wonderful friend, wife, mother and grandmother with a quick wit and generous personality, who will be missed by all.
Annette is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Deborah Warner, Lorraine and Anthony DeLorenzo and Linda Lee and Mark Murray.
She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Robert Hartley, David and Paula Maloney-Hartley, Jacqueline Rios, Sean Murray and Frankie and Patricia DeLorenzo.
Annette is also survived by her three beautiful Great Grandchildren, Jessica Norman, Grace Hartley, and Izabella Rios, and her three beloved nieces, Marianne Scudiero, Alana Kennedy and Christine Blair.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 10AM-12PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston NJ. Memorial mass will follow at 12:30PM at St. Raphael’s Church, Livingston.
