I am so sorry that i was unable to attend the wake and service.  My intentions were to get to both.  My heart has felt a little smaller since I heard of my childhood friend’s death and I have shed many tears.   We shared so many memories
together.  Heaven definitely gained an angel.  She was kind, compassionate, loved fiercely those she cared about.  Marissa was definitely her gift from God and
the way she loved her was fierce and when Amber came along it was a like a new spark of life for her.  We will miss you forever …

I was so sorry to read of Barbara’s passing. I was a PTA President back in the 80’s, as was Barbara. I liked her the first time I met her! She was always so nice & I enjoyed being in her company.  She tended to be quiet at our meetings, but was not afraid to express her opinion!  I hadn’t seen her in a very long time, but i remember her fondly.

Boo, I have tried to come up with words I want to say but there are none that can express the way I feel.  I will still say good morning to you every day and good night to you before I go to sleep.  I'll talk to you and tell you funny stories, maybe some not so funny.  Although I can't see or hear you, you will always be in my heart.

My deepest condolences to Leith, Marisa, Artie, little Amber and the rest of your family.   They will see you again when the time is right.  You were so deeply loved by them.  You will be missed by so many that have crossed your path.  You are the most beautiful person, inside and out.

As someone wrote, death is not the end.  One day we will meet at Breakwater, our own special place.  Until then please wait for me and remember how much I love you.    Judy (Dany)

I will always remember the first day of my new job at Prudential. I was a nervous 18 year old right out of high school.  Barbara came to pick me up from HR and walked with me through the uni-tunnel to get to the Plaza Building.  We chatted the whole way and she calmed my nerves.  That began our 52 year friendship which I have treasured all this time.  To me, Barbara had "it".  Confidence, style, good humor, personality and always fun to be with.  We shared countless meals and outings together and with the other "Pru girls" (two of whom welcomed Barbara into heaven, I'm sure), weddings (she was my matron of honor), babies and our love of dogs, especially basset hounds.  I admired her bravery and strength over the last few years dealing with all her physical issues but always remained eager to answer my messages.  She is an inspiration.  I love you and will miss you, my dear friend, but look forward to seeing you again either in my dreams or on the other side.

So many wonderful memories of time spent with Barb and Leith, including the trip to England and our stay at Castle Combe in 1999. The photo captures truly her remarkable spirit and at the same time her love for Leith. We think of her often and never stop laughing at the time the limo driver kidnapped her and Mary from the Russian Tea Room - they were laughing so hard they were unable to tell the driver to turn around and retrieve Leith and me. Meanwhile, Leith and I are peering into every car and limo with no idea of what could possibly have happened to them! Needless to say, we were late for the play we were to see - making a grand entrance to our seats up front to the dagger eyes of the cast! We will miss you, Barb, but you will be alive always in our hearts. Love, Mary and Luke
