

Beulah Samuel was born on October 4, 1940 and is from Yadgiri, a small village near Gulbarga India. She went to Vijay Vidyalaya High School in Gulbarga, but did not finish high school because she knew she wanted to become a nurse and help people. She went to nursing school at Wanless College of Nursing in Miraj. After finishing school, Beulah went to Bombay to work as a registered nurse. She continued working after she got married in 1965 and moved to the United States in 1970 through a nursing program. Beulah retook her nursing exams in the United States and was a certified RN and LPN. She worked at Saint Barnabas hospital for 35 years. During that time, she won the Morton Samuels Award for excellence in nursing.
She is survived by her husband Samuel Yesudas and her three children Rajesh, Sanjay and Asha. She also leaves four grandchildren, Steven, Cyril, Sarah, and Logan, and her daughter-in-law Deepa and son-in-law Scott. She also has two sister-in-laws, Sheela Yesudas and Sashikala Vasant, two brothers, David Edison Simeon and Ebenezer Simeon, and extended family and friends in India and the United States.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 9-10am with a service to begin at 10am at Livingston United Methodist Church, 290 Hobart Gap Road, Livingston, NJ. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.
