Camille Maxwell

Camille G. Maxwell, (nee Giliberti) age 85, of West Orange, NJ, passed away peacefully, on Thursday August 16, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Church 346 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ, on Tuesday August 21, 2012 at 10 AM. Committal will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery E. Hanover, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston on Monday August 20, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Alessando and Domenica Giliberti. After graduating from Bay Ridge High School, she took a position in the advertising department of Abraham and Straus in Brooklyn, NY. She married her late husband John T. Maxwell Sr. in 1954 and they moved to West Orange, NJ, in 1958. Mrs. Maxwell was employed with Muir’s Department Store in East Orange, New Jersey Monthly, and Market Measures Inc. Livingston. Mrs. Maxwell also served as an Administrative Assistant in the Livingston Public School System before her retirement. A devout catholic she was a founding member of St. Raphael’s Church in Livingston also a member of the church Rosary Society and Senior Citizen’s Group. Mrs. Maxwell served as a volunteer at St. Barnabas Medical Center. Beloved wife of the late John T. Maxwell Sr. Devoted mother of Joanne Maxwell and her husband John Petheram, Patricia and her husband Neil Holmes, Kathleen and her husband Mark Fitchik, John T. Jr. and his wife Laurie Maxwell and Edward Maxwell. Loving grandmother of David Fitchik, Gillian Holmes, John P. Maxwell, Caitlin Holmes and Kevin Maxwell. Dear sister of Aida DeFeo and the late Vito Giliberti. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O.Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
