Eleanor Schilling, 89, of West Orange, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Summit Ridge Nursing Home in West Orange. Her family will be receiving friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Sunday 3 to 6 PM. The funeral service celebrating her life will be at the funeral home on Monday at 11 AM followed by the committal service at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
Born in Newark, Daughter of the late William and Lillian (Mahoney) Fischer, she had resided in West Orange for the past 65 years. Eleanor was an active member and volunteer at the Pleasantdale Presbyterian Church, West Orange, with her beloved late husband, Herbert. She was employed as a bank teller in West Orange at the National Newark & Essex, Mid Atlantic and PNC Banks for over 25 years. Eleanor was predeceased by brothers, Frank and Harry as well as one sister, Lillian Sink.
