He passed away peacefully in his home that he loved and was proud of.
Fred came into this world on September 14, 1970 in Livingston, NJ. He was an avid hockey fan, dog lover and the comic relief to family and friends. He was known for his quick wit, mischievous grin and a love of Star Wars, Dr. Pepper, the Outer Banks and Reese’s. Fred also loved his dogs, Neo and Bella.
Fred grew up in Florham Park NJ, attended Bayley Ellard High School and was an accomplished graduate of La Salle University.
Fred was a simple and quiet man, who had a way of lightening difficult moments with humor. It was his gift and a gift to all those who knew him. His laugh was infectious and his smile a beacon of light. His heart was full of love for his family. His best friend was his sister, Marge, who would say he was a pain in the butt but oh how they loved one another.
Fred leaves behind his loving parents: Frederick Norton Sr, Theresa Norton, his sisters, Marian(John) West, Marge(Keith) Altrui, Ann Hanley, brother-in-law Mike Hanley, his niece, Gabriela West(John Donovan fiancé ) nephews John & Michael West and Charlie & Jack Hanley. He is also survived by the many cousins from the Callinan, McGeever, and Norton families and friends, including his friend Bill in South Carolina, Wanda and was predeceased by his dear friend, Ray Vesey, and beloved cousin, Kit Callinan.
Our hearts are heavy, our tears are endless and our smiles have dimmed. We search for the comic relief but it is not there, as our beloved Freddie has gone to make Heaven laugh now. We, however, CELEBRATE Fred knowing he SUCCEEDED in all he wanted to accomplish.
Services for Fred are private, but donations can be made in his name to the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter: www.RandolphRegionalAnimalShelter.org
Classic Freddie would sign off with…”That’s All Folks! “
