
She was a long-time resident of several places. Gloria was born and lived in Dumont, NJ for the first 18 years of her life, with her parents, John and Mary Schultz, and her older brother, John Jr.
She graduated from Dumont Highschool in 1945. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Richard Henry Bissonnnette. She worked as a secretary in New York City until she and Richard had their first child, a daughter, named Nancy Kay. In 1950, they had their second child, Richard John Bissonnnette. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother until their son, Rick, graduated college.
Gloria loved to bake and cook, play cards with friends, and keep a meticulous home. She was also a class mother and Brownie troop leader.
Her parents and her husband preceded her in death. Gloria is survived by the following: her daughter, Nancy Hauptvogel, her son Richard “Rick” J. Bissonnette and his wife Magan, her grandchildren: Brian Remick, David Bissonnette, his wife Denise, and great-grandson Matthew, Stephen Bissonnette, his wife Lauren, and great-granddaughters Ella and Erin, Adam Remick, his wife Alison, and great granddaughter Angela, Blake Muller, her husband Jeremy, and great-grandchildren Paxton and Ryan.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church, Randolph, New Jersey at 11 AM, followed by a celebration of Gloria’s life. Her ashes will then be transported to North Fort Myers, Florida, where they will join those of her beloved husband, Richie.
