Irene had an extraordinary passion and love for infants and children. She worked part-time in a day care for many years. She loved to cook, read, crochet and knit and spend time with her family and friends. Irene was extraordinarily passionate about her Italian heritage; traveling to Italy, canning tomatoes, Sunday dinners, and more. She was most passionate about carrying on Italian traditions in the family and always told her children "you must carry on these traditions when I'm gone".
Irene was also an active parishioner at St. Philomena's Parish in Livingston where she also worked part-time for the Sharing office. She was a member of the Rosary Society and UNICO Organization.
