She was a long-time resident of Essex County and was born on June 15, 1954, in Iloilo City, Philippines, to Toribio Gensaya and Lilia Pelobello. Jane earned her nursing degree in 1976 from Central Philippine University and later completed her Master’s in Nursing at Seton Hall University in 1997. She dedicated 45 years of her life to working at St. Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, where she served as a Nurse Manager and Director of the Cardiothoracic ICU until her retirement in 2021.
Jane was known for her love of travel, long walks, and spending time with family and friends. She was always supportive, encouraging, and nurturing, and her laughter brought joy to those around her. Fall was her favorite season, and she had planned a trip to Tyler, Maine, with friends to enjoy the autumn colors. However, she peacefully passed away and is now at rest with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Toribio and Lilia. Jane is survived by her sisters Japhet (to Ben Howard), Jima (to Richard De Leon), Joji (to Wilson Ginete), Joy (to Steve Erched), and her only brother Joseph (to Josephine Yee).
