Heartfelt sympathy to Jane’s family & friends.  Thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time and for the repose of her soul.  I worked with Jane when she was with the leadership team at the CTS/Med ICU of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where she started as a traveling nurse.  She showed competence, quiet authority & efficiency in a high pressure, fast-paced unit.  Otherwise she was supportive, kind & sweet behind tough stance. Definitely missed when she joined Barnabas Medical Center, her second family for many years.  Retiring there eventually as Nursing Director of the unit she loved, punctuated her stellar career. Maybe gone but will be fondly remembered by patients & coworkers especially nurses, doctors & other disciplines whose careers were positively influenced by her long, dedicated nursing journey.  A life well-lived & a blessing to many.  May she rest in peace.

Matin, as Jane was fondly called, was the eldest of  of us six siblings. She was our second mother and she helped send all of us to school including her nephews and nieces.  Whatever accomplishments we have in our lives was as much hers as it is ours.

She was like a mother hen protective of her young, selfless and generous. She was an empathic and compassionate nurse, whose bark is worse than her bite; a loyal and true friend, who opened her home to all who need it.  Tough on the outside, she was a cry baby on the inside.

Matin, we were not able to take care of you the way you took care of us but I guess you wanted it that way. Rest now, beloved sister, in a place where there is no more pain and suffering, where you are reunited with Tatay & Nanay and other loved  ones.

We are one with you as you on your next journey. Be with us as we continue to live without your physical presence but only your memories and spirit to keep us going. We love you.

We had nothing to do that day and decided to go to Cloud Nine. Timely, it was the reopening of the Siargao Cloud Nine boardwalk. MaTin and MaEr sat in front. Next thing I knew, we already met the Mayor and first to walk down the new boardwalk.

We also appreciate reading about the various shared memories and experiences everyone had of and with Jane.  She truly had a life that radiated warmth and love, and it is evident that it has seeped into all our lives without fail.

We appreciate you for celebrating Jane's life with us: from the moments she had on earth until her final moments before stepping into eternity.
