

Born in Newark, New Jersey, on August 22, 1951, Jill was the youngest daughter of Norma and Jack Cregar. Ms. Cregar grew up in Maplewood, N.J. and most recently resided in Whiting, N.J.
An advocate of higher education, she graduated from Columbia High School in 1969 and from Kean University in 1981. She also attended graduate school at Montclair State University. Ms. Cregar achieved great satisfaction through her work in Public Relations during her employment at National Industries for the Blind where she promoted the strengths and skills of people who are blind. Most recently, Ms. Cregar was employed in the Behavioral Health Dept. of Morristown Medical Center, contributing to helping people suffering from Mental Illness and behavioral issues.
Ms. Cregar leaves behind two much-beloved sisters and their husbands, Nancy and Peter Violette of Livingston, N.J. and Carol and Richard Gruber of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. She was a devoted aunt to her niece, Kristine Violette, and nephews, Michael Violette and David and Brian Gruber.
Jill was an animal lover and felt a deep compassion for their welfare, especially for her beloved cats, Chloe (deceased), Sophie Rose (deceased) and Trouble.
Ms. Cregar will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
