

Joseph Clarizio, 87, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 in Morristown, NJ. Joseph was born August 26th, 1932 in Newark, NJ. He resided in West Orange then Berkeley Heights for many years. Joseph was a lover of sports excelling in both baseball & basketball. He was also a graduate of Bloomfield College. Joseph owned a car appraiser company, JACS Adjustment Services, for 20 years. His career began as an educator in the Newark Public Schools and an Administrator at Essex County College. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion Post 433, New Providence. Joseph was co-founder of the Dean Michael Clarizio Cancer Foundation in honor of his late son Dean. Joseph’s generosity carried on to anyone he met in need. That was the type of individual he was.
Joseph was predeceased by his son Dean Clarizio, is survived by his 2 sons Joseph and Chris Clarizio, his daughter in law Danielle Clarizio, loving granddaughter Arianna and his brother Nunzio Robert Clarizio.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all services are private at this time, but a memorial service will be scheduled at a future date to be determined. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston.
