Marius was a gentle soul with a brilliant mind and a generous heart. A devoted student with an unending curiosity for knowledge, he graduated from the University of Bucharest with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Programming. Forward thinking and passionate about science and transformative fields such as data science and artificial intelligence, later in life Marius earned his Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Data Science from Johns Hopkins University. Over more than 20 years of dedicated work, Marius built a meaningful and respected career in finance within the software industry, working for IHS Markit, JPMorgan, CitiGroup, MetLife, where his analytical mind, steady leadership, and unwavering work ethic earned him the admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
A refined intellectual and avid reader, he delighted in thoughtful debate and in exploring the intersections of philosophy, religion, science, and history—always seeking perspectives that challenged convention and opened new ways of understanding the world. Proud of his Romanian heritage, he found joy in celebrating traditions and sharing them with family and friends.
Above all, Marius was a devoted husband and father whose life revolved around protecting and loving his beautiful family—his cherished daughter, Ariadna, the apple of his eye, and his wife, Cora, the love of his life. Soft spoken, gentle, and a soulful presence, Marius pursued intellectual excellence while also embracing life’s simple pleasures. He treasured playing chess with Ariadna, traveling in wonder of the world around us, and expressing gratitude for the blessings in his life.
Marius was predeceased by his parents Alexandru and Zoita Tudor. Marius is survived by his wife Cora, his 8 years old daughter Ariadna, his sister and brother-in-law Sorina and Octavian Palko, his niece Daniela and his nephew Adrian.
Though his time among us ended far too soon, Marius leaves behind a legacy of integrity, dedication, curiosity, and extraordinary devotion to those he loved.
