Susan C. McCornac

Susan C. McCornac, (nee: Callahan) 72, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Monday, May 2, 2016, from 4 until 8 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philomena’s Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 11 AM. Cremation will be private.

Born in Pittsfield, MA., Susan had lived in Livingston since 1965. She was a realtor for Coldwell Bankers (previously Gail Lowenstein Realtors) for many years. She also was active with the Livingston League of Women Voters, Livingston Women’s Club and had been previously involved in local Democratic politics. As a parishioner of St. Philomena’s Church, she was active in its Rosary Altar Society. Susan was also proud to be counted as one of the founders of the Crescent Road Block Party which continues today over 40 years later.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Hal, her devoted children Michael McCornac (Debbie), Lauren Stephen (Paul) and Carolyn McCornac and her loving grandchildren, Christopher, Thomas, and Kelly Stephen and Kevin, Ryan and Jessica McCornac; she is also survived by her siblings Thomas and Brian Callahan, Elizabeth Powers and 9 nieces and nephews.
