Susan R. O'Brien

Susan “Sue” O’Brien passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026. She was reunited with her beloved husband, Kevin, who preceded her in death in 2016. She was born on January 9th, 1959 in Orange, NJ and spent most of her life in Livingston and Parsippany, NJ.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sue’s life on Sunday, June 7, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, New Jersey.

Sue was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter Ashley O’Brien, and a cherished daughter of Harry and Carol Rawnsley. She shared a special bond with her sisters, Sharon Moore and Michelle Lelia, and took great joy in spending time with family events with The Moore’s -- Mark, Pat, Matt, Catherine, Sarah, Harry, Bre and Summer -- and The Lelia’s – Keith, Brooke and Ryan.

Sue had a gift for making others laugh with her silly sense of humor and feel loved. She was deeply passionate about dogs and animal welfare, and her beloved companions Clyde, Angus, and Jameson brought her endless happiness throughout her life. Sue also dedicated many years of service to the Chase Bank in Short Hills, where she worked as a teller.

Above all, Sue will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, sense of humor, and the love she shared so freely with family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
