Tao Zhen Lin MD

Dr. Tao Zhen Lin, 86, of Livingston, New Jersey, passed away June 5th, at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lin was born May 2, 1938 in Shanghai, China. She was the daughter of Mr. Cao Lin and Mrs. Sanmei Chen. Dr Lin was predeceased by Dr. Cailou Yan, her loving husband of 49 years, who died in 2014.

Dr Lin is a graduate of Shanghai First medical school and worked as a pathologist and immunologist at Shanghai cancer institute. In 1984, Dr. Lin obtained an NIH grant to continue her cancer research works at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences Institute (Formally known as UMDNJ) until her retirement.

In her retirement Dr. Lin cherished spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Surviving Dr. Lin are her children Weibiao Yan, Donglei Yan, her grandchildren Mila, Angelina , Rachael and Calvin.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, June 8th from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home. 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, New Jersey.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Dr. Lin’s memory to her favorite charity - St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis TN, 38105.
