William A. Veith, 89, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015 in West Orange, NJ. Born in Orange, William resided in West Orange for the past 61 years. Before his enlistment in the Navy, William was a star pitcher for the Orange Triangles in the Essex Suburban League. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during WWII on the U.S. Yolo as Radioman First Class. He was employed for NJ Bell/Bell Atlantic for 41 years before his retirement.
William was predeceased by his beloved wife, Susan, and his dear son Jeffrey. He leaves behind his loving son David and his wife Donna. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Ashley Tromondo and her husband Peter, Richard, David, Christopher, Mark and Amanda, as well as his daughter-in-law Alice.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 9-10:30AM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston. Funeral mass will follow at 11AM at St. Joseph’s Church, West Orange. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
