Anna was born on April 1, 1915 in Frederick, Colorado to George Marnich and Katorina Stonich Marnich. She was raised in the Tri-Town area attending schools there.
She married Ben Ballinger. The Ballinger’s would reside and work in Longmont from that point on. Always the lady, Anna was a beautiful woman with everything in its place. She had her entire family to dinner, each and every Sunday, providing for the cooking and arranging her home, “just so”. Thanksgiving dinners were always at her home, with her comfy home, overwhelmed, but absolutely perfect for her children, grandchildren and eventually great grandchildren. She had a knack and skill for needlepoint, annually winning a number of awards at the Boulder County Fair.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Anna worked for a number of years for Gould Manufacturing on the assembly lines.
Preceding her in death are her husband; her daughter Catherine Winter and her brother George Marnich.
Surviving are her son Benjamin (Kathy) Ballinger of Longmont; her grandchildren Todd (Diana) Winter; Kristi (Ken) Davidson of Longmont; Brent Ballinger of Boulder; and Stacie (Ron) Goscha of Berthoud; and 6 great grandchildren Blake and Keith Winter; Courtney and Brittany Davidson; and Marrisca and Rheanna Gosha.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6 at the St. John’s Catholic Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel. Interment will follow privately at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Boulder and Broomfield Counties, 2594 Trailridge Drive East, Suite A, Lafayette, CO. 80026
