

Anna Mary (Pilkington) Platt was born on November 21, 1950, in Wray, Colorado. She went to be with the Lord April 7, 2026. She was the 2nd child born to Willard and Alice Anne (Devlin) Pilkington. She grew up in Akron before moving to Longmont and Mead in 1955.
She graduated from Longmont High School in 1968 and married Leland Platt on June 20, 1981.
Anna Mary worked at IBM for 20 years. After retiring from IBM, she worked for Safeway for 20 years and then retired from Safeway. Anna Mary was a very dedicated employee and had a strong work ethic.
She attended St. John’s Catholic Church in Longmont and was a 4H member growing up. She also belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution, National Society United States Daughters of 1812, and Decedents of American Farmers.
In her free time, she was an avid card player - especially pinochle. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. In her younger years she helped rear and mentor her younger siblings. She was a loyal, kind, and caring friend to all who knew her. Many have said that Anna Mary was a straight shooter in her communication and she never minced her words.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leland Platt, father Willard, mother Alice Anne, Sister Theresa (Morison), and her brother Ronald. Nieces and nephews: Emily Pilkington, Drew Pilkington, Michelle Pilkington, and Evan Pilkington.
Anna Mary is survived by her brothers Andy (Nina), Jim (Amy), Mark (Karen), Leo (Tammy), Chris (Julie), Louis (Denise) and Brian (Angie); and her sister, Judy (Robby) Orbanosky of Firestone. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and many cherished friends.
Anna Mary’s funeral services will be taking place on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Mead, Colorado. There will be a rosary at 9:00 AM, visitation at 9:30 AM, funeral mass at 10:15 AM, and a reception at the church to follow. Anna Mary’s graveside committal service will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital in Anna Mary’s memory.
