Avery showed me the ropes at Schlumberger, He was always there to encourage as a Boss first then colleague and freind. I appreciate his wisdom and ability to apply just the right amount of what was needed in a situation always thinking first before acting.Deepest Sympathy to Family ,, I will meet up with Avery in Heaven when my time comes and catch up !!!

When i was a young Schlumbeger Anadrill employee in Aberdeen i went to Lafayette , Louisiana where i was honoured to Meet Avery , My heart goes out ot his family and my deepest thoughts are with you all . 

Although we have briefly met in Saudi, I can still remember what a man of principle you were. You took care of your people at work as if they were family. Everybody missed you after you got transferred out of Saudi, now we all shall miss youâ€¦RIP Avery!

Avery.....so giving, supportive, honest and true.  I will never forget the time he and his wife spent with my husband and myself prior to making change in our lives.  With his smile and ease of communication he showed true support and concern.  He shared his life's experiences unselfishly only to give insight to  one who would be walking where he had already been.  His smile was contagious and his words have been heard inside many times over. I also have the good fortune of remembering his smile and encouragement on the golf course.  His energy was one that I enjoyed the presence of always. I am thankful for having the blessing of meeting you in this lifetime...My thoughts and prayers with you, Pat and your family.

 I worked with Avery in West Siberia years ago and Avery was the First Maintenance Manager for the Russia land, always with open heart to people. We never forget you Avery, rest in Peace.

I am totally shocked after receiving the news about Avery.  I have worked with Avery almost 3 years as he was a Maintenance Manager in Abu Dhabi.  A very nice & honest person I ever met and stands always for the fellow workers.My condolence to whole family.

I knew Avery when he came in as my manager in Abudhabi. I respect him both for his work ethics and his individual personality. Always cheerful,helpful and motivating.  May his soul rest in peace.

First met and work with Avery at Lafayette La in 1995 for a month  On Job Training under his mentorship. A meticulous, excellent technique skills and warm person. That was my very first trip travelling so far from Singapore (FME facility). Our success owes to his great mentorship and make me feel at home during the training.I will miss him.

I am sadden to learn of the passing of a former co-worker and friend. Avery was a very sweet person and always had a kind word for me from the day that I began working for Schlumberger. Although I only worked with Avery for a short time in the SLB Henderson/Commerce City facility, I was blessed to have the opportunity to get to know the kind, gentle, and hardworking man that Avery was. It didnâ€™t matter if it was a good day or a bad day, when passing Avery in the halls, he always greeted me with a smile and a â€œHey Girl.â€ I will never forget that. Avery will be deeply missed by all of us and forever remain in our memories.  My heart goes out to Avery's family and friends during this hard time. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

One of the greatest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, befriending, and working for.  He was always even minded, but with a sternness that always seemed to encourage you rather than scold.  A mentor for the ages, as the character Albert in What Dreams May Come, he is the friend I hope to meet after life.

I met Avery in Sep '08 when I moved to Denver to work at the Henderson Facility. He was my manager, who taught me a lot and I am very greateful for meeting him. A great person who was well respected globally within SLB and would be surely missed!RIP Ave!

I will miss Avery very much over the years we had grown apart but my memories will remand of the summers we spent together at the lake. I know he is up there with daddy and know both of them will be my angles watching over me!!! I love you Avery !!! 

I will miss Avery. He was my friend. We played many rounds of golf together including probably his last round. I so enjoyed being around him and Pat on the golf course. It was always so fun. Avery had a smile that was so big and bright. Knowing that Avery had given his life to Christ is such great assurance that we will see each other again. Maybe then I will be able to actually beat him in a round of golf - ha, not likely! All my love to his family. Dave 

I have fond memories of him from years ago, when I was a supplier for Anadrill/Schlumberger and he worked in Scott and Youngsville SLB. He was a great guy to work with.I am sorry for your loss.

We worked together at Schlumberger for three years and I enjoyed working with Avery very much.  He was a very dependable and loyal person.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Avery and I worked together as technicians in the Anadrill Schlumberger shop in Scott, LA from roughly 1986 until 1991. Our careers followed similar paths, both starting as techs and later becoming Managers in the maintenance organization.Avery was always even keel. Never too riled up about anything, he took it all in stride. I always liked that about him. In 2008, I once again had the pleasure of working with Avery when he came to the shop we opened in Henderson, CO. It had been many years since we had seen each other but it was like only days had passed. We had once shared a team, and as such, we still shared that team-ness. Knowing what to expect and how each would react in a given situation. Good times.I'm sorry he struggled with his health for so long. I am joyful though that as a friend of mine assured me, he knew Jesus Christ as his Savior. Hearing that he had passed was sad but hearing that he has indeed trusted Christ is what made me tear up. I look forward to seeing my brother again - and again it will seem as only a few days.God bless his surviving family.

I will always remember Avery as a perfectionist when it came to preparing our logging tools in Scott, Louisiana. He wanted to know the smallest detail and he went out of his way to make sure our customers had only the best. He was (almost!) always smiling and never failed to say Good Morning or Have a good day.I am glad to have known Avery. I realize you have lost a very special person.
