Bobbie was born on May 4, 1937, in Craig, Colorado, to John Clarence “J.C./Slim” Rogers and Annie Myrtle Lippard. She graduated from Moffat County High School in 1955 and went on to attend beauty school in Denver, Colorado, completing her training in 1956.
In 1957, she married Jack D. Reavis in Craig, and together they had two children, Michael Dean and Lori Ann, moving to the Longmont area around that same time. Later they divorced, and Bobbie married Don Crouch in 1991.
Bobbie built a vibrant career as a hairdresser, owning and operating the Lovely Lady Beauty Salon on Bowen Street in Longmont for five years. She shifted careers, managing the Countryside Village mobile home park from 1973 to 1983 with Jack. In her later years, she became a CNA, dedicating herself to the care of two sisters who had developed Alzheimer’s, and she retired in 2000.
She was a woman of many faiths but was a Christian who prayed daily for her loved ones and read her daily devotional. Active in her community, Bobbie and Jack were members of the Elks Club. She was also very involved in her children’s activities, including her son’s Boy Scouts program and her daughter’s show choir. She loved to sing, dance, craft, travel, and garden. She especially cherished her time spent with her children, grandson, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack D. Reavis and Donald Crouch; her son, Michael Dean Reavis; her parents, John Clarence Rogers and Annie Lippard; her brothers, Jack and Jim Rogers, and her sister, Adel Rogers Chandler.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Ann Reavis-Bennett (Kelly); her grandson, Arthur Jackson (A.J.) Nittmann (Bethany) and four great-grandchildren: Caleb, Liam, Jackson, and Charlotte Nittmann.
In honor of Bobbie’s love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Longmont Humane Society. A small graveside service life will be held in Craig during the summer.
