

Barbara Dalke (Holcomb) 86, of Longmont, Colorado, formerly of La Mirada, California passed away with family by her side on Saturday, December 16, 2017. She was born February 7, 1931 in Pocatello, Idaho to the late Willis and Leah Holcomb (Reese).
She was a graduate of Pocatello High School. She married her husband Vern, June 11, 1949. They enjoyed many years of camping and fishing on the lake in their “surfboard”,…
She worked for many years as a cake decorator with hundreds of cakes made for family, friends and clients. Her talent enabled her to create the word “squeezable” on the Hunts ketchup bottle. She loved to crochet, which later turned into a hobby of crocheting sleeping matts made out of plastic grocery sacks for the homeless.
She was an active member of the Methodist church.
Family was very important to her. Everyone who walked through her front door was family for life.
She is survived by her husband Vern, of 68 years; Daughters Ellen Gilfoy and husband Tom of Chino Hills, Ca, Laura Hogue and her husband Jeff of Longmont, Co; Sons Jack Dalke and his wife Mayling of Chino, Ca and Bill Dalke and his wife Codi of Thornton, Co; Grandchildren Janice Stephens and her husband Paul of Milliken, Co, Daniel Hogue and his wife Christi of Selma, N. C., Michelle Dalke of Riverside, Ca. and Matthew Dalke of Thornton, Co; Great grandchildren Katelyn, Joseph, Kian and Aria
