Barb, grew up in Illinois, and at the age of 21 she was blessed with a daughter; Pam Rose, was born in 1957 and Larry Joe, in 1959.
On Thanksgiving Day, in 1963, she met a young, handsome gentleman named Lloyd Tempero, and by April of ‘64 they were married in Monmouth, Illinois. The following year, in ‘65, they welcomed a baby boy, Bill Morgan Tempero. Then in 1968 they welcomed Rusty Lloyd Tempero and this completed the Tempero family.
They moved to Green Bay WI. Shortly after the birth of Rusty and remained there until July of 1975 when they moved to Colorado. They found a home they liked on the north west side of Longmont. The house was very nice but simply wasn’t big enough. It was a 3 bedroom home and Barbs first order of business was to build a bedroom for Pam. Barb really enjoyed home improvement projects, she often times, fixed things herself and built what she needed instead of buying it. Barb had a true talent for building things from scratch, a gift she shared with her sister Marty. Barb, had many talents but one of her greatest gifts, was her incredibly quick wit. She had a wonderful sense of humor and many times had memorable one liners and comebacks.
Barb had spunk and was beloved everywhere she went. When settled in Colorado she took a job at the local King Soopers, where she worked for several years and managed to get jobs for Pam and Larry. King Soopers is also where she met one of her favorite girls, Kim, who helped take care of her in her later years. Pam and Kim Both work at King Soopers today.
Throughout their lives, Barb and Lloyd enjoyed traveling. From Jamaica, to Mexico, to the Sunday drives after breakfast, they always enjoyed their adventures together. Still, no adventure compared to the joy they shared for their 3 grandchildren, Christopher Tempero, Ashleigh Tempero and Tia Tempero. They truly enjoyed being grand parents and were the closest to Tia. Barb and Lloyd loved being her grandparents and cherished all the time they spent with her. Barb built her a playhouse in the back yard that still stands to this day. Barbs family meant the world to her. She adored her children and especially adored Lloyd. They Never stopped laughing and making the best out of each day. Even when her health began to decline, she still sought the best out of each moment and maintained an amazing attitude.
In her later years, Barb had several caregivers whom she loved dearly… Kim, Melinda, Maryann, Caroline, and Lani
Barb is survived by her dear husband Lloyd, Siblings, Frances, Bonita, Tom, Martha, John, Mary, and Rosie. By her children, Pam and Bill and Barb and Lloyd’s Grandchildren Christopher, Ashleigh, and Tia and great grandchildren, Ozzy, Dominic and Eliana.
