Bek came to the United States on November 10, 1981, after fleeing the war in Cambodia. She worked hard to create a new life for her family, first settling in Boulder before moving to Longmont in 2017. Bek was a dedicated machine operator and mail sorter at Neodata, admired for her strong work ethic and caring spirit.
She was a proud member of the Cambodian Cultural Center and valued her community deeply. Bek enjoyed camping, fishing, visiting casinos, and cooking—activities that brought her joy and connection with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Datar Prum and Dara Prum, and her daughter, Darthy Prum. Bek is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Semaj Sobe Chau, Ayva Prum, Izabella Rouge Cervantes-Briones, Thai-J Chann Prum, Kenai Bee Prum.
Bek will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
