Betty Florence Lingle

Betty Florence Lingle, 89 of Longmont, passed away March 3, 2019. Betty was born March 11, 1929 in Sioux City, Iowa to Claude and Ester (Pearson) Wheeler. She grew up in Iowa.On December 11, 1945, at the age of 16, Betty married Ellis Lingle while he was active duty in the United States Army. They had one daughter.In 1951, she moved to California and in 1982, when Ellis retired, they moved to Colorado to be close to family. Betty worked as a unit secretary for Longmont United Hospital until she retired at the age of 80. Betty enjoyed working at the hospital and made many friends over the 28 years she spent there.She is preceded in death by her parents, three siblings; Thomas Wheeler, Don Toby and Edna Wheeler and her beloved husband, Ellis Lingle. Betty is survived by her daughter Pam (Chuck) Otoupalik of Firestone, CO two grandchildren, Shelby (Michael) Wax of Firestone, CO and Charles (Becky) Otoupalik of Fort Collins, CO and one sister, Bea Coons of Harlan, IA. Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
