Betty J. Wilson

Betty J. Wilson, 88, of Longmont passed away June 29, 2015 at Boulder Community Health-Foothills Hospital.She was born November 11, 1926 in Iowa City, Iowa to Dewey and Beulah (Fackler) Smith.On January 15, 1944 she married Cedric Wilson in New Orleans, LA. They moved to Longmont on January 1, 1970.Betty worked many years for the Times-Call in the production department as an inserter.She was an active volunteer in the Longmont community, especially when it involved cooking and serving meals to others. Betty had volunteered at the OUR Center.Betty enjoyed Bingo, cross word puzzles, cooking and baking, Dr. Phil and reading books.She was preceded in death by her parents husband Cedric, two sons Richard and James and grandson Charles Wilson.Betty is survived by six children Cedric Wilson, Jr. (Laura) of Idaho Springs, CO; Patricia Betz (George) of Golden, CO; Charles Wilson (Gloria) of Longmont; Jeff Wilson of Mesa, AZ; Jean Hogness (Greg) of Longmont and Barbara Emerson of Longmont; ten grandchildren Michael Betz, Michelle Simpkins, Erica Abbott, Justin Abbott, Samantha Hogness, Rebecca Wilson, Jacob Hogness, Taylor Wilson, Megan Wilson and Grant Wilson and four great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held 11:00am Monday, July 6, 2015 at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.
