Beverly Jeanne Jans Jones Younger

Beverly Jeanne Jans Jones Younger was born on February 8, 1934, to Martes Heinrich Jans II and Emma Lou Ellen Dykeman Jans. She grew up on a farm near Winner, South Dakota, where she attended Winner High School and graduated in 1952.

On July 17, 1952, Beverly married Duane William Jones. Together they built a life centered around family and faith. In 1974, Beverly moved to Longmont, Colorado, from Sterling, Colorado, where she continued to build strong friendships and community ties. After Duane’s passing, she later married Paul Younger in 2003.

Beverly was a devoted Methodist and a woman of many talents and passions. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning, baking, and caring for her family. Music brought her great joy, and she treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martes Heinrich Jans II and Emma Lou Ellen Dykeman Jans; her husband, Duane William Jones; her brother, Wayne Melvin Jans; her daughter-in-law, Stacey Marie Jones; and her grandson Daniel Michael Jones.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Paul Younger; her daughter, Debra Marie Jones Lanning; her son Michael Duane Jones; grandchildren Crystal Marie Jones Haverkos, Dustin Jared Lanning, and Dylan Jared Lanning; great-grandchild Elsie Marie Haverkos; and several beloved nieces and nephews, including Carla Mae Jans Schroeder, Janet Lee Jones, and Douglas Vernon Jones.

Beverly’s life was a reflection of her kindness, love, and deep devotion to her family and faith. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at Winner Cemetery in Winner, South Dakota, on November 11, 2025, at 11:00 am.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Colorado, with the date and time to be determined.
