I will always remember Deacon Bob is when my grandson was leaving out of state. We went to the church for a blessing for  my grandson‘s journey..
The priests had already left for the day and Deacon Bob was just getting into his vehicle when we pulled up.
Rather than get into his vehicle and leave, he greeted us with his contagious smile and asked how we were doing. After sharing the reason why we were at the church Deacon Bob was more than happy to oblige.
May you be resting in peace Deacon Bob!

Maggie, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Bob as always smiling, always happy, and always excited about whichever project he was starting up or deep into, whether at home or SJB. He was so much fun to talk to!
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Dear Maggie:  My deepest sympathies.  I worked with Bob at Sacred Heart in Boulder about 30 years ago.  I still have the memory of him coming up the stairs with that huge smile on his face.  He and I would comiserate about the church, and sometimes the parishioners.  LOL.  When I was very confused, I would say out loud, "What's my name and where do I live?"  He would tell me, that is what you and he would do with the kids.  You would stop them and ask, "What's your name and where do you live?"  So that if they ever got lost, they could tell their rescuers where to take them.  Bob was a joy to my ministry and I know your loss will be great for a long while.  But I promise you my prayers for your healing.  We never get over a loss like this.  We only learn how to carry it along on our journey to the kingdom.  Fr Jerry Rohr

Maggie - We are so sorry for your loss, and we are sending love and support your way. Deacon Bob was such a light in everyone's lives, and his smile and laugh will live on in our memories. Abrian and I remember how animated and joyful Bob was, and his myriad of skills and hobbies always brought smiles to our faces. I still have the dinner triangle Bob made for me all those years ago, making such expert use of his skill as a blacksmith. We are so sorry we couldn't be there to show support to you and your family in person, but please know you are in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts.

One of my most treasured memories of Bob was the day he brought the Caliope to Old Mill Park and I was allowed to play it. You and the Mrs are a treasure we will miss. Thank you so much for everything you did for us and with us.

We share so many memories of Deacon Bob. So many laughs and discussions. Bob was instrumental in keeping us calm 17 years ago and preparing us for our wedding. When I think of him, I see that smile that was always on his face. 
Deacon Bob was the officiant at Steve’s and my wedding in 2012.
He made it so special with all 11 of our grandkids sitting on the step to the altar and talking to them about marriage and how you have to find your BFF!

I remember when my grandson was leaving to Texas, Deacon, Bob gave him a blessing, and also bless his vehicle for a safe trip.

Deacon Bob gave me one of my first Stephens Minister care-recievers at Mass during Communion; he said at giving me Jesus I need to see you after Mass.  Really wondered what he had in mind.

Another time Deacon Bob called me and asked for help transporting our first used freezer for the Food Bank. 

Being in Choir, I got to visit Deacon Bob's little farm.  Oh yes and the antique engines.  I would also visit his exhibits at the fair grounds.

Deacon Bob Will be soooo missed but know he will be smiling and encouraging from above. 

Always a big beautiful smile. 

Maggie there are no words to express my heart felt sorrow for your loss and the world's.  Deacon Bob moving on to a different service is hard to accept but he is with God, checking off his task list I am sure.

So grateful to know Deacon Bob and his wonderful wife and family.

Thank you Maggie for sharing your husband with Longmont United Hospital to volunteer. Bob was always a bright light every time he came in to volunteer. He loved being a patient ambassador and loved to visit with patients. He was one of my leads in training new volunteers and especially like working with the high school students. We were so blessed to have Deacon Bob baptize our youngest son, Noah.  We were new to the parish, and his smile and joy made us feel welcome.   Deacon Bob will be remembered in our prayers.

I will always remember the times I and my wife had with Bob
and his family. Bob was a friend for over 47 years, he was a 
wild and funny guy. I'm sure Heaven will be a more interesting
place with Bob living there.

Dear Maggie and Family, 

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Deacon Bob.  He was such a joyful and kindhearted human being.  He used to bring the Eucharist to my Mom, Frances Chavez when she was still with us and living at Hover Manor.  My Mom loved his sense of humor!  

We remember him as someone who always had a smile for everyone.

We have all suffered a great loss with the passing of Deacon Bob.  I had known Bob a number of years, and I don't think I EVER saw him without a smile on his face.  What a painful time for his family and all his friends.  I am writing this not just convey my own personal loss, but as a means to reflect of Bob's contributions and influence within Longmont's own Yesteryear Farm Show, of which Bob was a charter member.  On behalf of the Show, we will miss you very much, Bob.

Deacon Bob was always a friendly, approachable and warm person to be around when I was going to church growing up. I remember him making me laugh and always having a smile on his face - you could tell he was happy to be there. So sad to hear the world has lost a good soul like Deacon Bob.
