Brad was born in Yuma, Colorado to Jack and Janet Simmering. He graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1978. Right out of high school he secured his first job as an appliance technician, an industry he would work in for the entirety of his life. At his final job at Jim and Dave’s Appliances he became part owner, an accomplishment he was immensely proud of. On August 6th, 1983 he married his wife, Kathy Montgomery. They raised their son, Brennan Simmering in Longmont, Colorado.
Brad had a passion for fixing things, especially around their home. He loved to spend hours on the tractor. He could fix, repair, or build anything he got his hands on and he was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed something fixed. He also enjoyed the many years he coached his son, Brennan in football and baseball. Brennan was his pride and joy. Brad was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, his charm, his work ethic, and his kind compassionate spirit.
Brad is survived by his wife Kathy, his son Brennan, his parents, Jack and Janet Simmering, his sisters, Judy and Jeanne and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on January 9, 2021, at the New Horizons Christian Church , 701 Carbondale Drive, Dacono, CO. An open house will follow at the Simmering Home. If you are sending flowers, the Church cannot accept them before 1:00 pm.
