

Brody Lee Spurvey, 18, of Longmont, died April 10, 2014 in rural Boulder County. He was born January 17, 1996 in Boulder, Colorado the son of Ken Spurvey and Kristi Watson. Brody had attended Longmont High School and was currently working in the deli at King Soopers.
Brody will be remembered as a young man with a gigantic smile, who enjoyed fishing, working on cars, shooting with his brother and working out with Jacob and Matt. Brody also had a huge heart made evident in the love he showed for his grandparents.
Survivors include his mother Kristi Steele and her husband Dave, and his father Ken Spurvey of Longmont, his brothers Sterling Steele, Nick Parra, Preston Spurvey, Joel (Kaci) Steele, Jason (Becky) Steele and his sisters Stephannie Parra and Brianna Steele. He is further survived by his his uncles, Jim (Deanna) Spurvey, Garrett Peters, and Austin Watson, and aunts, Kelly (Phillip) Campbell and Amber Watson, nieces Paighton and Quinn and numerous cousins. His precious grandmothers Barbara Haskins, Sharon Spurvey, and Kathy Peters also survive.
Brody was preceded in death by his grandfather’s Austin Haskins and James Spurvey.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at LifeBridge Christian Church with Dwight Bradshaw officiating.
Memorial contributions in Brody’s memory are requested to either the Wild Animal Sanctuary or any organization that helps to educate about of prevent teen suicide c/o Howe Mortuary in Longmont.
