Carl R. Wilson

Carl R. Wilson passed away May 31, 2013 at Longmont United Hospital. He was 83 years old.Carl was born November 15, 1929, in Buffalo, Wyoming to Raymond and Jeanette (Reimann) Wilson. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea and the Panama Canal.He married Janiel Sherard and together they moved to Longmont from Midwest, Wyoming in 1966. They purchased the A&W restaurant in Longmont and he was also an electrician for RPM Electric of Longmont.He was a member of the Elks 1055 of Longmont; and enjoyed skiing, trap shooting, and riding motor cycles. He was a pilot and pheasant hunting was his passion.Carl was preceded in death by his wife Janiel in 1994; three sons Rim Wilson in 2000, Scott Wilson in 1974, and an infant son in 1955; his brother Raymond Wilson, Jr.; and one sister Helen Mae Wilson Hammer.He is survived by his grandchildren Jason Wilson and Kimberly Sheets; and his great-grandchildren Joseph Wilson, Rex Sheets, Ireland Sheets, Lilly Wilson, and Micah Wilson.Fellowship gathering to start at 10:00 AM with open sharing beginning at 10:30 AM Friday, June 7, 2013 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
