
Carol Parrish of Longmont, died September 19, 2009 at Hospice Care Center, Louisville. She was 77.Carol was born on May 7, 1931 in East Lake, Colorado to Alfredo Arguello and Donna Vela Arguello. The family moved to the Longmont area when she was a young girl.Carol married Delbert Parrish on March 13, 1954 in Boulder. The Parrish's raised their children here, participating in 4-H, and faithfully following the athletic efforts. Carol continued caring for and watching her grandchildren's sport endeavors. She herself was active in the Longmont Bowling League for a number of years. Carol was an avid fan and faithful supporter of the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Carol enjoyed her exercise and could often be seen walking all around the community.Preceding her in death were her husband; two brothers Ted Arguello and Mark Arguello; and two sisters Jenny Vigil and Frances Mendez.Surviving are children Dan (Julie) Parrish of Ft. Collins; Alan (Vickie) Parrish of Longmont; and twins Theresa (Kurt) MacKenzie of Longmont and Robert Parrish of Berthoud; 7 grandchildren Todd Parrish, Heather Parrish, Billy (Chrystal) Oskarson, Seth (Christin) Parrish, Bobbie Brooke Oskarson, Brett Parrish and Lauren Parrish along with 5 great grandchildren. She is furthered survived by three brothers Fred Arguello of Wichita Falls , Texas; Bernie Arguello of Green River, Wyoming, and Archie Arguello of Longmont; four sisters, Rose Padilla of Denver, Cheila Garrett of Loch Buie, Mariann DeHerrera of Longmont, and Lucy Arguello of Longmont. A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Cremations Services. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23 at the Howe Mortuary with Pastor Rick Ebbers officiating.The family requests memorial contributions to the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley, website address is efsvv.org
