

Chad Allan Zabler of Longmont died May 1, 2007 in Greeley, from injuries suffered in a motocross accident. He was 17 years old.Chad was born on May 20, 1989 in Boulder, Colorado to Todd Allan Zabler and Dennie Lynn Swan. He was scheduled to graduate from Longmont High School this month. He was in hopes of attending technical school in hopes of pursuing his interests and loves.For the past six years, Chad has competed in the Rocky Mountain Motocross Association. Through his competition, he qualified for the Regional Championships last years at Glen Helen Raceway in California.Chad and his mother have enjoyed numerous travels the past number of years, visiting Africa, The Caribbean, Costa Rica, Europe, Mexico and Hawaii. His stories and experiences captured in Africa are particularly memorable.Surviving are his mother and father of Longmont, grandparents, Marilyn Swan of Golden, Elaine Zabler of Thornton, and Richard Zabler of Broomfield. A cremation has been held. Howe Mortuary is handling arrangements.
