He was born on October 15, 1941 in Lyons to the late Charles Thomas and Roberta (Calloway) McFadden. After graduating from Lyons High School, and a few years spent in College, he went on to work for Coors Tek. In his career he designed and manufactured ceramic parts for everything from Coke machines to spacecraft. He was very proud of his work and the things he created during his career.
On April 14, 1973 he married Barbara Brozek in Genesee, Colorado. A few years later they would welcome a daughter, Daniele, into their family. They lived in Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville where they would raise Daniele, and Superior until recently when they built their home in Brighton. Charles enjoyed working in his shop and there wasn’t anything he wasn’t capable of creating with his time there. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his yard. He was a member of the Boulder Elks Lodge #566, as well as the Boulder Moose Lodge. He also had a love for animals. When they moved to Brighton, he took in a stray dog that the builders had been feeding scraps to.
Charles is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter, Daniele (Ben) Armijo of Thornton, as well his loyal companions, Oscar Joe, Willie S. Nelson and Alexis Jane. He is further survived by numerous close friends, including his Lyons High School classmates.
