Chris was born August 13th, 1964 to Patrick Vigil and Jenny (Arguello) Vigil in Longmont Colorado. He grew up on the east side of Longmont Colorado and attended schools in the Longmont area. He obtained his GED and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served three years as a crane operator, and after concluding his service, he returned to the Longmont area where he began his career as a commercial painter. He worked many years with Olberding painting, Rockies’ Complete Painting, and in his later years, he worked for his brothers in their respective painting businesses.
Chris had three sons, Anthony, Adrian, and Jordan of whom he was very dedicated to and proud of. Chris was a dedicated Broncos fan and enjoyed watching the games with his mother Jennie. He also enjoyed attending heavy metal concerts and engaging in the mosh pits with his boys. He was an avid reader with a broad collection of books favoring Tom Clancy, and J.R.R. Tolkein.
Chris was loved and he will be missed.
He is survived by his three sons Anthony (Katie) McEntee, Adrian (Jacquelyn) Vigil, and Jordan (Ivy) McEntee; three brothers Ben (Amy) Vigil, John Vigil, and Angelo Vigil; his step sister Tammy Montoya-Yancey; his father Pat Vigil; his nieces Angel Vigil, Jennie Vigil, and Maggie Johnson; his cousin Michael Arguello; and numerous others. He was preceded in death by his mother Jennie Vigil in May of 2008.
A Memorial Service was held for Chris on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, CO. A Reception will followed at the American Legion Post 32 in Longmont. The family greatly appreciates all those that were able to attend and share together in remembrance of Chris.
