Christine Lindsey passed away peacefully on December 15, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. She valiantly fought this last year due to complications of her lifetime of living with Juvenile Diabetes. Through it all, she never lost her sense of humor or her passion to live life to the fullest. She had such an incredible giving heart that she was more than willing to empty her pockets to give to people that were truly needy or deserving of love, recognition or help; to the point of pulling off roads to hold a hand of an accident victim, fill up many carts to deliver to the weld county food bank and hugely over tip a deserving wait staff. Christy was born to Winston and Barbara Scott on August 20, 1968 in Boulder, Colorado. After attending Boulder Public Schools, she attended CU Boulder and UNC. On June 9, 1990, she married the love of her life, Brian Lindsey, in a ceremony held on Flagstaff in Boulder, CO. A few years later, on February 8, 1993, she and Brian celebrated the birth of their miracle son. Christy loved to travel and turned that passion into a business by starting her own travel agency with her husband. She shared that love with friends and family by helping them plan trips and cruises, often finding incredible deals. Christy was fun-loving and shared her love of life with those around her. She was always looking at putting smiles on other people's faces. Her nieces fondly remember the Christmas gifts of money which were wrapped in layers of duct tape, frozen in blocks of ice or other creative wrapping jobs. They always wondered, sometimes with trepidation, on how Christy would wrap their money each year. Christy is survived by her husband Brian Lindsey and son Taylor Lindsey, her parents Winston and Barbara Scott, her sisters Cheryl Craig, Karen Womack and Kathy Krause and her nieces Katrina Proctor, Mandy Cass, Karissa Bayliss, Lexi and Morgan Krause. Donations may be sent to Weld County Food Bank in her Honor. Funeral will be at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St, Longmont, CO 80501, on Tuesday, December 20 at 2:00 PM. A celebration of her life will follow immediately afterwards at the Callahan house right next door, at 312 Terry St., Longmont, CO 80501. Visit www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
