Christopher James Foster, son, brother, nephew, uncle, great uncle, cousin, coworker, he was the sweetest most gentle soul we ever knew, passed from complications from a stroke on October 8, 2013.
He was born March 5, 1960 in Longmont, Colorado to James and Laura (Williamson) Foster. Chris bravely faced life with some challenges and chose to ride his bike everywhere, rain or shine. Cars were too complicated for him but the basics in life made Chris happy. He didn’t have a cell phone or computer and had a never ending fascination with scale model town building. He didn’t like anyone in his apartment for fear of disturbing his work. Chris surpassed all his family’s expectations and was able to have a job, working for Albertsons and King Soopers, which he liked very much, except the graveyard shift, which according to Chris, was too much past his bedtime. He was most comfortable around children and had never lost his ability to play and be the best friend to his nieces and nephews and great nephew.
Chris was a Rockies fan and remained a diehard Star Wars enthusiast.
Survivors include his father James Foster of Scottsville, VA, his mother Laura Hargreaves of Longmont, his brothers Charles (Felice) Foster of Longmont and David Foster of Aspen, CO and his sisters Nancy Liebing of Aspen, CO and Julie (David) Rettinger of Fredricksburg, VA. He is further survived by his beloved nieces, nephews and great nephew: Matthew (Rebecca) Liebing and their son Beau of Longmont, Jordan Liebing of Portland, OR, Melissa Foster of Broomfield, CO, Hannah Foster of Longmont CO and Ellery Rettinger. There are also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that survive.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services. At his request, no services will be held and his ashes will be scattered.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher Foster Memorial Fund, c/o Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St. Longmont, CO. 80501
