

Clement ""Clem"" Dufour, formerly of Dacono and Longmont, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Sangre de Cristo Hospice House in Pueblo. He was 95 years old.Clem was born April 9, 1911 to Clement Dufour Sr. and Virginia Delplancque Dufour in Kline, Montana. He married Lillian Hoots on March 16, 1930 in Greenwood, Arkansas. In 1938, they moved from Arkansas to Dacono.Mr. Dufour was a coal miner and a carpenter. Along with his wife, he owned and operated Clem?s Tavern in Dacono for more than 25 years. He served on the Town Council of Dacono and was also mayor for 4 terms.He is survived by his sons, James Dufour and his wife, Anna, of Ignacio, Colorado, Robert Dufour and his wife, Jo, of Rockport, Texas, and Thomas Dufour and his wife, Bonnie of Toledo, Ohio; a daughter, Lorene Moore and her husband, Duane, of Fountain, Colorado; and two sisters, Zelia Smith and Myrna Kilgore of California. He is further survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on June 11, 2000; a son, John Clement Dufour; and by two brothers, Armand and Ronald Dufour; and two sisters, Violet Lesser and Virginia Deliere.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with David Bradshaw of LifeBridge Christian Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday.
