

Clyde was born on Christmas Day, 1927 in Milliken, Colorado to Clyde Raymond Miner, Sr. and Anna Pauline (Lammers) Miner. He was raised in Johnstown and graduated from Johnstown High School.
Clyde married Marilyn Ott on August 11, 1957 at the First Lutheran Church in Longmont.
Clyde served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1951 - 1955. Upon his return he went to work for Fred Harsch Lumber in both Johnstown and Longmont. He later went to work at Rocky Flats where he was a manager, retiring after 30 years of service.
Clyde took an active interest in his community. He was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church, a Mason at St. Vrain Lodge A.F. & A.M. #23, and a lifetime member of the Longmont Elks Lodge, #32. He volunteered many hours at the Longmont Police Department and the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
Clyde was an avid fisherman and was accomplished at tying his own flies. In his younger days, he was a hunter. He also followed Genealogy tracing his family back to the 1400’s, enjoyed using his metal detector in the area finding many valuable and interesting items and was active in bowling and golf leagues in Longmont.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother Howard Miner and a nephew.
Surviving are his wife of Longmont; a son Mark (Rhonda) Miner of Longmont; a brother-in-law Ron (Marilyn) Ott of Sterling, Colorado and two nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 30 at the Howe Mortuary in Longmont. The family will not be present.
Private services will be held with burial at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
Contributions are requested to either the First Lutheran Church or the Longmont Humane Society.
