

away peacefully, at home in Longmont, Colorado on Saturday January 30 th , 2021.
She was born on February 26, 1959 in Kirkland, Washington to the late Kenneth
Peters and Alyce Anne Rinestad.
Cindy Worked 23 years as an accountant for Walmart Corporation in both Texas
and Georgia. She made her home in Katy, Texas until she moved to Dallas,
Georgia when she married her husband Theodore A. Olson. They enjoyed
rescuing animals and vacationing in North Carolina in the 21 years they were
married.
Cindy enjoyed collecting University of Georgia at Athens memorabilia in
particular, the figurines of the mascot Uga. She enjoyed flower gardening and
home landscaping. She enjoyed reading her favorite books were those of Barbara
Delinsky and inspirational fiction.
While raising her children, Cindy enjoyed band, orchestra, home room mom and
girl scouts. She enjoyed creating needlepoint, latch hook projects, playing bingo,
and solitaire. Cindy had a great love for her children and grandchildren and
longed for the opportunity to share closer relationships with them.
She is survived by family members that include, her devoted husband, Theodore
A. Olson; loving children, Karen Gregory of Brookeshire, TX; Kimberley Lightsey of
Katy, TX; and grandchild, Mason of San Antonio, TX; step-children Katie, Tyler and -
grandchildren Jolene and Jake of Georgia; sister Kathy Collins of Conroe, TX.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents.
