
Daniel B. Rose of Longmont died January 9, 2011 at the Life Care Center of Longmont. He was 78 years old. He was born on December 25, 1932 in Ipava, Illinois to Everett and Mary (Baldwin) Rose. Daniel moved to Colorado in 1935 from Illinois and was raised in Kersey. He graduated from Kersey High School and Barnes Business School. Daniel honorably served in the U.S. Air Force. Daniel moved to Longmont from Greeley in 1960. He married Georgia Sanderson on February 5, 1961 in Longmont. He was a CPA for Great Western Sugar Company for 24 years and then an accountant for Longmont Packing until his retirement.Daniel enjoyed painting and fishing. Above all, Daniel will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father who enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Rose and his wife, Georgia Mae Rose on May 14, 1987. Daniel is survived by his son, Scott A. Rose (Linda A.) of Longmont; three grandchildren, Melissa Rose of Longmont; Heather Kerk (Kyle) of Longmont and Matthew Rose of Longmont; an aunt, Ruth Johnson of Ft. Collins and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service and inurnment will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, January 14, 2011 at Berthoud Greenlawn Cemetery. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the National MS Society.
