Daniel Bernard Troy

Daniel Bernard Troy, 83, of Platteville, CO died June 12, 2013 in Loveland, CO.Daniel was born July 23, 1929 in Lisco, NE to Oscar and Lottie (Radke) Troy. He graduated from Oshkosh High School where he was an athlete and a horseman.He served with the Navy Air Guard during the Korean War and moved to Washington State after the war where he was an ironworker and rancher. He moved to Platteville in 1985 to continue the cowboy life raising and training quality horses. His hobby was horses and cattle.Daniel was a member of St John the Baptist Church in Longmont, CO.Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jerry Troy, and sisters LaVeda, Sally, Lois and Delores.Daniel is survived by a son Casey (Karen) Troy of Carnation, WA, a daughter Danna (Darrel) Brodhead of Cave Creek, AZ, a sister Eleanor Henderson and numerous nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 21, 2013 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont, CO.
